A Short Overview of the China-Africa Relations Roundtable

The China-Africa relationship has deepened significantly over time, and China is now Africa’s largest trading partner, and has become a fast-growing source of investment and aid in the twenty-first century. Moreover, there are major opportunities to strengthen the relationship for shared prosperity. The roundtable on China-Africa relations will discuss key themes in China-Africa economic cooperation, with the aim of offering fresh ideas for realizing greater shared gains. The roundtable is divided into two sessions. The first, on the afternoon of May 26th, will bring together public and private sector leaders, while the second, on the morning of May 27th, brings together a group of world-leading scholars, alongside diplomatic and private sector leaders.

Kobus van der Wath, Founder and Group Managing Director of Axis Group International / The Beijing Axis, will be giving a presentation on: “Trends in China-Africa Commercial Relations: Strategic Imperatives for Government and Business”.
