Responsibilities

  • Manage project schedules and cost controls
  • Identify suppliers and evaluate their capability from commercial and technical points of view

Summary:

Job Description:

          • Perform desk research in the fields of business and economics i.e. trade, investment, government policy, etc
          • Track and analyze trends (in various business areas including, but limited to, the Chinese mining and resources sector; industrial and engineering sectors; trade and investment relations between China and Africa, Australia, Latin America and Russia; China’s OFDI and M&A; government regulations; etc.)
          • Process, analyze, interpret and present relevant data in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other relevant software for external as well as internal projects
          • Cross-check data presented in project documentation ensuring that the information presented is accurate and fully reliable
          • Support other team members on client assignments
          • Assist in relevant business activities including attending business exhibitions as well as facilitating commercial missions for companies, associations and chambers of commerce

Requirements:

      • Excellent academic background, with a business and/or technical degree
      • Minimum 1-2 year experience in an appropriate or related field
      • Attention to detail and fast-learner. Able to work under pressure
      • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
      • Ability to work in teams with colleagues from diverse cultures and backgrounds
      • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
      • Chinese language proficiency preferred but not essential
